Running Training

Whether you’re a marathoner looking to improve your minute-per-mile pace or sprinter striving to knock off hundredths of seconds, the Athltetic Republic Acceleration program will make you faster. By improving running biomechanics and stride frequency, coupled with learning visually through use of a back mirror, runners will not only get in the best shape of their lives, but they will also see major gains in speed.

With the Acceleration program, the average athlete will see a 2-4 inch increase in vertical jump, a decrease of 0.2 seconds in a 40-yard sprint, 33% improvement in foot speed, and a 50% reduction in recovery rates.

We also offer an in-season Maintenace program, for those athletes looking to keep the edge throughout their season.

Maintenance:

Sprinting is the foundation of playing sports: if you do not have proper sprinting mechanics, explosive speed, quickness and power, you’re missing out on the opportunity to outmaneuver your competition.

Athletic Republic's maintenance program offers the in-season athlete the best opportunity to continue their individual skill development while continued reinforcement of muscle memory patterns. All sessions consist of our unique three period blend. Athletes will partake in 1st period Super Treadmill / Plyometric training, 2nd period functional strength / power circuit training and 3rd period Speed / Agility / Quickness training. Each session will focus on developing the athlete’s acceleration and speed during the season while maintaining proper sprinting bio-mechanics. Each session can be scheduled at anytime.

Below is a detailed overview of our running-based program:

Objectives

  • Improve running biomechanics
  • Increase explosive power
  • Increase stride length/stride frequency
  • Increase maximum sprint speed
  • Increase anaerobic tolerance
  • Improve foot speed/agility
  • Enhance posture/body positioning
  • Improve overall strength to reduce the risk of injuries
